  1. Can you tell me how wide your strips were in your Math Makes My Head Hurt quilt? I am so hard trying to do this quilt for my Uncle who was in the Navy.

    1. Cyndi, I believe I followed the directions provided by Moda and cut them 2.5 inches wide, to finish 2".... I hope this helps! Good luck on making his quilt! You'll do great!

  3. Hello Lanetta,
First of all thank you for your post...Math hurts my Brain!. I saw your work and fell in love with the quilt. I am doing one with a USMC seal. I am a pattern person, I mean I REALLY am. So I’m freaking out a little with the braids and the triangles, etc etc. I have a 17 x 17 seal. I’m so anal that I had to square it up first before beginning So my blocks are going to be a 8.5 finished block, but my question is... for my braids i decided to make my beginning square 4.25 x 4.25 but I’m not sure how wide the strips or how long they should be to obtain the width the braids need to be. I see from above you said they are 2.5 to end up 2” Hello Lanetta,
